Abusing God’s Grace

I was reading 1 Peter 2:16 which says “Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.” and it made me realize something. I abuse God’s grace a lot. Sometimes I think that just because he forgives my sins that it’s okay to do whatever I want. I don’t want to do that anymore.  God’s forgiveness is the best gift I could every receive even though I don’t deserve it at all. I should use it as an opportunity not to live in sin, but  to be humbled and try to follow in Jesus Christ’s footsteps as much as I can. I should live my life solely for God. Not living solely for sin. I will never be perfect and will always sin, but at least God forgives me and gives me the opportunity to have the desire to be more like him.
